Helen Tasker is Harry’s supportive wife, mother of two teenage kids and a linguistics professor who is getting annoyed by Harry’s constant business trips away from home. Increasingly angered, she feels as if she’s been robbed of the life she once envisioned for herself. Thrilled when Harry invites her along for a trip to Paris, Helen is in for a rude shock when she sees a very different side to her husband, learning that he is in fact a world-class spy.

Biography

Helen's family is originally from the Philippines. She moved from Manila to the United States when she was in third grade. Helen quickly learned English so it would be easier for her to fit in at school.

Helen met Harry Tasker and they fell in love, ultimately moving to Maryland to start a family. They had two kids Dana and Jake. She became a linguistics professor for a community college while Harry was a computer salesman at Teleonyx Solutions.

Throughout Series

Season 1

Helen finished one of her classes when her husband Harry called from a computer sales conference in Cleveland to tell her that he wouldn't make it home that night, which disappointed her as she cooked dinner and the kids missed him. She understood his position and broke the news to their two kids Dana and Jake that evening. Harry was home by morning and gave his family gifts from his travels, which included another travel guide for Helen. She faked happiness over the book but was secretly upset as it was a list of places they would never see and a list of things they would never do.

• She speaks several languages including English, French, Malagasy, Basque, Russian, North Korean, and Chinese.
• During her first body scan for Omega Sector, she carried hair pins, a passport, condo & car keys, velvet red lipstick, and a penny stuck to her shoe.
• She completed her linguistics graduate studies at Columbia University.
• This Helen Tasker is based upon the Helen Tasker portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis in the True Lies film.
• In the film, Helen is a legal secretary, whereas in the television series, she is a college linguistics professor.
