Dana Tasker is the daughter of Harry and Helen Tasker as well as the sister of Jake Tasker.

Biography[]

Dana is the firstborn child of Harry and Helen Tasker. She was born in Maryland and is the older sister of Jake Tasker.

Throughout Series[]

Season 1[]

Dana is initially a rebellious teenager struggling to connect with her largely absent father, who is frequently away at "sales conferences". She maintains an honest relationship with her mother and a bickering one with her younger brother, Jake. Dana's life begins to change when Helen gets a job at a prestigious university, working closer with Harry, and is away more often. Dana and Jake are left in the care of their next door neighbor, sent to camps, or to stay with family while their parents are away. This begins to frustrate Dana, who sneaks out to see a secret boyfriend, lies more, and distances herself from her family. The entire Tasker family heads to Mexico for Harry's annual computer sales retreat. Dana and Jake skip their scheduled activities to try and buy alcohol at the beach, only to be caught by Luther, Harry's co-worker. While driving to get "tacos", the Mexican police chase the group and Luthor expertly shakes the tail with minimal gunfire. They return safely to the hotel where they end their trip with a night of dancing.

Personality[]

Dana is a rebellious teenager desperate to escape her parent's rules and guardianship. While she cares deeply for her family, she also has a disconnect from her father because of his many work trips that cause him to miss important events. She keeps secrets from her mother and has a bickering relationship with her younger brother. She sneaks alcohol, hides her boyfriend, and sneaks out when she's meant to be home.

  • Dana is based on the character of the same name from the 1994 film, True Lies.
    • However, this Dana is more rebellious then her film counterpart.
    • In the movie she was an only child, while in the series, Dana is the older sister of Jake.
  • She learns about her parents true identities and the workings of Omega Sector in "Lying Truths".
